There was a time when it was just Peter Pepper running from his enemies, Mr. Hot Dog, Mr. Pickle, and Mr. Egg. It was a simpler time when enemies were squashed by falling hamburger ingredients. But so much has changed since the 1982 release of the BurgerTime video game. For one, video games are no longer the exclusive purview of arcades with their delicious hot dogs on a stick and lemonades and cheese sticks on a stick. Sadly. Now video games are in our homes and on our laptops and on our phones and we have to do our best with a shish kabob skewer, string cheese and a makeshift deep fryer. (Keep the fire extinguisher handy!)
There are some benefits to time passing. Like 3-D. And highly developed game play. And more hamburger worlds. And the new BurgerTime has taken advantage of all of these new fangled inventions with the re-release of their arcade classic. The new BurgerTime features 3-D graphics, four worlds and 40 maps with a rotating environment system. There are more burgers to be created like the garden burger, sizzling southwest and the homerun. There are more enemies too, including Habenero and Stinky Cheese.
